Tool Box
In this tool box you can find our methodology tools.
The purpose of these tools is to provide international and French solidarity professionals, who are not social sciences specialists, with tools to improve their understanding of the effects sociocultural determinants have on acces to healthcare, to enable them to make sociocultural diagnostics and, as a result, to improve their social impact and the effectiveness of their action by ipmplementing solutions that are tailored to the needs and the sociocultural surrounding of the beneficiaries.
BOOK "DATA COLLECTION : CUALITATIVE METHODS"
The first guide deals with qualitative methods ("the quantitative approach involves 3 questions on 1000 subjects; the qualitative approach involves 1000 questions on 3 subjects") for data collection (observation, individual interview, focus group, sociocultural diagnostic). It explains the objective of each one of these techniques, its prerequisites, how it has to be done in order to be effective and the kind of information one can and can't collect using this technique.

BOOK "VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN : GENDER, CULTURE AND SOCIETIES. PRATICAL APPROACH"
The second one deal with the problem of gender-based violence and proposes a practical approach on the sociocultural determinants of this type of violence in general, recommendations and methodological support to make a sociocultural diagnostic to understand the sociocultural factors that condition violence against/inferiority of women on the place where the professionnal is acting. Finally, the guide entails a bibliography of pieces of work that deals with this problem.

"HEALTH EDUCATION : A PRATICAL GUIDE FOR HEALTH PROJETCS"
This third guide offers a common foundation in terms of vocabulary and methodology in order to approach several key concepts of health education. Its goal is to enable everyone to make responsible choices relating to the behaviours that have an influence on their health and on their community. This book also develops critical thinking on the importance of integrating the sociocultural context in the development of awareness-raising tools and messages which make sense to the population.

VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN : AWARENESS POSTERS
We also propose you to view the PowerPoint that has been made for a training on gender-based violence in Cairo. It provides keys of understanding for the analysis and development of audiovisual aids for education and awareness raising on gender-based violence (206 of these teaching aids have been classified and analysed in the French section of the "tool box")
